- Ripper Documentation. Written by RiDeR / T.R.S.I. 9-June-1992
-
-
- This is a Update of an Old Ripper that I've made a few years ago.
- It's now fully Multitasking, 100% Assembly and Intuition Based.
- It is able to find in Memory, NoiseTracker or SoundTracker Modules
- Including the latest Modules. It will not find MED modules yet.
-
- The Player Routine I've used is CIA Interrupt Based and for what I've
- seen, It's not very Legal... It works in a 'not-yet-explained' way..
- Anyway, It gaved me no troubles yet, but if you have a better one
- just make sure I get it.
-
- This version will work under Kickstart2.x and Kickstart 1.x but I have
- adjusted the colors to the 2.x environment so 1.x might be awfull.
-
- How to use: Just run the Intro/Game you wish to rip the music and
- Reset your computer or just quit while the music is playing. Then
- run the ripper with as few tasks as you can get into the memory.
- If the music is suported by the Search routine it will rip it!
-
- Here's a brief description of the ripper's commands:
-
- Search: It will browse all your CHIP memory. If you wish to break search
- just make the ripper Window active and press right mouse buttom. If a
- module is found, it will write his name in the path gadget and will
- automatically start playing it if no other module is playing already.
-
- Play: Will start playing the current Module, if any.
-
- Stop: Will Stop playing the module.
-
- Save: Will attemp to save the found module into the path specified in the
- path gadget. It will report you if the desired path is not valid or if
- there's not enough space left on disk.
-
- Info: Opens a Window containg all the Info about the found module. This
- includes: - Module Name
- - Module Size
- - Module Type
- - Number of Tracks
- - Name of all the Instruments.
-
- About: The Credits for this awesome utility. ;-)
-
- There's a problem running this under the new environment, if you change
- the Workbench font for any other than the topaz 8, text can get out of
- the gadgets. I'm now working in my own library of Proporcional gadgets
- but for now this is what you get.
- If you find any Bug or if you want to sugest anything, just contact from
- any address above.
- You may distribute this software for free without any kind of permission.
- Updates of this ripper will be available in any TRSI Board.
